Hello! I am Dr. Janet Laster Purkey. A few years ago, I let my bangs grow out; little did I know that such a small change would bring about a unique headband for women worldwide! My prototype provided a very comfortable hold while providing lift and style, plus no headache-causing pressure points!
Knowing a painless headband would be popular with women worldwide, I was determined to get this unique item to market. I shared my idea and plan with friend Laura Barker who immediately understood the concept of the perfect headache-free headband. We sought out folk in the local industry to patent, produce, and market Zazzy Bandz.
Our business concept for Zazzy Bandz grows from our Christian faith. We are committed to supporting Christian ministry and missions with a purpose. Zazzy Bandz will help women achieve the effortless style and lift needed for any occasion, plus we will strive to help other charities and organizations as our business thrives.
I am an Internal Medicine physician who has enjoyed teaching medical students and residents for over 30 years. My passion for patient care extends to working in a free medical clinic and teaching medical simulation and procedures. My sweetheart, Charles, and I have been married for 38 years. We have three children and one granddaughter. My hobbies include being a lover of the outdoors, tennis, and horseback riding.
